Welcome to Fantastic First Grade! We have so much fun while we travel through the first grade curriculum, concentrating on mastering skills and concepts required by the State of California standards.  We start the year focusing on friendship as we engage in many activities with our first grade friends next door in Room 9.  And, as the year progresses, we celebrate many more special days with lots of exciting activities.  Of course, we read, we write, and we do our math, science and social studies but that's not all.  We visit the media center/library each week and have art, music, and drama lessons thoroughout the year provided by SPEF.

This year the class will be learning and putting into practice responsibility, respect and empathy.  Watch for special projects in the days and weeks to come.  Wow!  I hope you are as excited about this year as I am!
